Course Description
The Vital Shoulder Complex Masterclass allows you, as an already highly qualified therapist, to focus on this specific area. This two-day course is very intense and on completion you will have the knowledge and practical experience necessary to identify, assess and treat specific dysfunction within the shoulder complex, which will in turn lead to greater treatment success, happier customers and a more profitable business.
Course Outline (HK Version)

Surface anatomy of the glenohumeral joint, shoulder girdle including AC, SC and ST Joints. Differential diagnosis of cervical / referred / visceral pain that presents to the shoulder region.

Practical of surface anatomy of the soft tissues and associated joints. Discussion of the rotator cuff, scapulohumeral rhythm, impingement syndrome, painful arc and specific upper limb case studies.

Assessment of the shoulder complex, screening tests of cervical spine. Active & passive ROM testing and special tests.

Treatment of shoulder complex using METs to assess and lengthen the rotator cuff, latissimus dorsi, pectoralis major and minor.

Treatment of the shoulder complex using Harmonics. Specific protocol demonstration to treat impingement syndrome. Thoracic spine mobilisations Grade 1-5.

Gliding techniques (supine and prone) of the Glenohumeral (GH) joint. AC & SC joint (shrug and prayer test) assessment and treatment.

Active & passive soft tissue techniques of the shoulder complex, cervical and thoracic spine using songbird wax.

Kinesiology taping techniques for the shoulder complex.
