Description

The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education invites applications for the position of full-time/part-time Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s) for Prof. Poon Tsz Chun, Eric.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Exercise Science, Physical Education, Public Health, Nutrition, or other relevant disciplines; (ii) good communication and interpersonal skills; (iii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline; and (iv) a genuine interest in exercise science and fitness. Having relevant research experience and proficiency in computer data processing (e.g., Microsoft Excel) or multimedia skills will be advantageous. Fresh graduates with passion in exercise science and looking for postgraduate opportunity are also welcome.

The appointee(s) will assist with research projects related to exercise training, physical fitness and cardiometabolic health across different populations. Responsibilities include (a) administrative support and project coordination; (b) data collection, management, and analysis; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned. Shift duties on weekends and public holidays may be required.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
